Every long weekend in September ( the first weekend ) a small group of paragliders meet in New Denver at the community campground and fly from Idaho Peak. Great camping, family activities and of course an incredible flying experience. Idaho Peak offers over 5,000 ft. of vertical drop from New Denver and a big mountain flying experience. Cross country potential is wide open. Paraglider flights to Nakusp and hangliding flights to Kaslo and from Slocan Ridge have been completed.
